Senior Hardware Project Manager

We’re expanding and looking for a passionate Senior Hardware Project Manager to join our team. You’ll be responsible for steering complex, multi-stage hardware projects from start to finish, often involving rigorous requirements and unique engineering challenges. You’ll oversee R&D and grant-funded projects, create comprehensive plans, coordinate resources across teams, and ensure strict adherence to timelines and budgets. You’ll also serve as a key point of communication with stakeholders, provide clear project updates, and actively manage risks and dependencies to keep each initiative on track.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and oversee project plans, timelines, and deliverables for hardware projects.
  • Coordinate shared resources across multiple projects, balancing priorities and addressing resource constraints.
  • Monitor project progress, ensure commitment to deadlines, and manage expectations around timelines and budgets.
  • Identify and proactively address potential risks and obstacles, communicating effectively with management and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular status updates, detailed reports, and insights.
  • Maintain project documentation, including grant requirements and milestone tracking.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key project partners, grant agencies, and other stakeholders.

 

Competencies we are looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • Proven expertise in managing end-to-end hardware project lifecycles, including R&D, prototyping, and production.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage timelines, resources, and complex project dependencies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a talent for engaging cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Strong budget management skills, especially in grant-driven projects, with a focus on accuracy and transparency.

 

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with national or EU grant management processes.
  • Technical background in fields such as physics, mechanics, or electronics, enabling better team alignment and effective problem-solving.

The starting salary range is 3500 – 5000 EUR gross, but we are flexible, if you can surprise us .
